Having led large digital transformation initiatives at their organizations and for their customers, the team formed Cause Point to combine their experience and help customers successfully navigate the opportunities and challenges of the digital technologies.

Anand Kashyap

FOUNDER & CEO

Anand has over 20 years of global experience across consumer industry verticals, with a successful track record of leading strategic partnerships and ensuring delivery excellence. His vision is to build compelling client relationships with a sharp focus on creating long-term business value. Anand combines strategic thinking with in-depth understanding of business, technology, processes and systems, helping clients take advantage of game-changing and disruptive technologies.

As someone who leads from the front, he is known for his ability to forge and execute go-to-market strategies backed by business-aligned next generation services and solutions. Anand held a series of leadership positions with leading technology companies, including ITC Infotech, Dell Services, and Wipro Technologies, before founding Cause Point. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Madras and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from LA Tech University.

Michael Smith

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER

Michael has over two decades of extensive experience, specializing in strategic planning, business transformation, and identifying and managing innovative technology solutions.

Michael is currently a member of Valentine & Cautreels’ advisory board. Prior to this, Michael served as the Global Head of Digital & Innovation and Global Business Services at Mylan. He was a part of Mylan’s business transformation, strategy, performance, operations, talent, and conformance executive committees. He also chaired the company’s digital and innovation executive committees. During his tenure at Mylan, he was entrusted with profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, complete oversight and leadership of digital health, commerce and marketing, innovation, and Mylan’s shared services organization. The shared services organization supported the company’s finance, human relations, procurement, IT and commercial operations that served Mylan’s business lines worldwide.

Prior to his stint at Mylan, Michael built a major part of his career at Nike where he held a variety of technology, supply chain, sales, and customer service roles over a period of 22 years. He began his career as a programmer and grew to be an IT leader within the company. He oversaw Nike Inc.’s worldwide Enterprise Solutions and Technology group, including oversight and management of CIO functions for Converse, Hurley, Umbro, and Cole Haan. Earlier in his career, he held IT positions at AutoZone and Malone and Hyde. Michael was among the executives profiled in ‘The New IT: How Technology Leaders Are Enabling Business Strategy in a Digital Age’ Be the Business CIO’s In the New ERA of IT. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee.

Cara Kinzey

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER

Cara’s deep insights and expertise built over a 30 year retail career enable her to develop strategic digital solutions and drive growth to produce exceptional business outcomes. As a veteran of the retail industry, she has held various leadership positions in two of the biggest retail chains in the United States - Walmart and The Home Depot.

Until April 2015, Cara served as a Senior Vice President of IT store, online and corporate application development and support at The Home Depot, Inc. Her role entailed leading IT for more than 2,000 stores across the United States, and ensuring IT support for the company’s field operations and corporate services. Under her leadership, an industry-first proprietary mobile device called the 'First Phone' was implemented. It is a next generation device that acts as a phone and walkie-talkie with the added functionality of mobile checkout, inventory management, product search, and business analytics. She also led the development of the multi-channel efforts which resulted in revenue growth of approximately $4 billion in online sales.

Prior to joining The Home Depot in 2008, she served as CIO and Senior Vice President of Information Technology for RadioShack Corporation.

Cara spent the majority of her career at Walmart where she served in a variety of roles across technology, finance, and marketing domains. During her 23 year tenure, she held the position of Vice President of store, specialty, and treasury systems as well as human resources and finance and corporate systems. She also served as Vice President of Membership and Member Services and Credit at Sam's Club. Cara holds a diploma in Finance and Economics from Arkansas Tech University.

Chakri Lokpriya

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER

Chakri has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with extensive knowledge of asset management and financial markets worldwide. He has an outstanding record of first and second quartile fund management for absolute and relative BRIC and global funds at J.P. Morgan, New York; BNP Paribas Investment Partners, London; and Franklin Templeton, India.

He currently serves as the Managing Director and CIO at TCG AMC where he is responsible for building and leading asset management and alternative teams across geographies. In addition, he also oversees investment, marketing, and operating functions and regulatory interface in various jurisdictions (SEC, FSC, SEBI, and UK) to help set-up and structure domestic, offshore, FPI, and FII funds. He is also actively involved in business development for asset gathering and drives rapid growth through compelling third party commercial negotiations, product positioning, and effective go-to-market strategies. Chakri has an MBA in Finance from The New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
